The Church Bag

When we were in our first ward as a married couple, there was a family who had three children. I was always amazed during sacrament when these children would sit reverently through the meeting. Now, I know that sitting through an hour meeting quietly is almost impossible for littles. But it was also important to me that my children would have quiet activities that were church related. It not only made the church bag "special (for Sundays)", but it also helped them to remember why we were at church, to focus and learn about our Savior and His gospel.

We now have our Curious George bag. Inside I have created a binder with laminated activities for the kids. These work great with the Crayola dry erase crayons. I share them with you now and will update with more when I update the bag myself.  ; )

MEMORY GAME :
In this game, as in the lacing cards below, I chose to print the cards on plain white paper, and then back them on cardstock before laminating for more durability.

MATCHING SOUNDS :

COUNTING :

WORD OF WISDOM :

LACING CARDS :
These are made by printing the images on plain white paper, cutting them out, and backing them on cardstock. It is laminated and holes are punched around the cardstock.

- children missionaries
- jesus christ
- temple
- baptism
- reverent girl
- joseph smith

PUZZLES :
I plan on making these again. I had originally laminated these and placed velcro dots on them. Bad idea. You just hear the RRRRIPPP in church. Haha! So I will soon be buying a metal pan from the dollar store and printing these on printable magnet sheets. Simply print these and cut along the lines.
